This is a must have. I noticed the portrait isn't done by Yulli, she did the art direction for it. I guess that's why it looks a little off.

He did look slightly different in those scenes compared to the rest of the movie.

Good one!
Too bad the parts one the actual fig won't be removable though.
It's cool that they used the actual body inside the armour for this fig and not just moulded plastic(Alien figs).

Dan

I believe they will be readily available for awhile just like the TDk figures.
Just don't wait too long to get them once they are released.
And no SS hasn't put this up for pre order.

Well, I plan on jumping on this one as soon as I can, but I figured it would be available for pre-order with Sideshow like the II and III. Had I know BBTS already had it, I would have jumped on it right away :(

I put myself down for one! This piece just looks too good to pass up and screams to be placed next to the other armors. Unfortunately, the funds are lacking for ALL the armors to be mine. hope I can at least get a Mark III to place it next too.

I found comparisons between the new maquette and the HT version very interesting, so i'll post some of the similar shots.
In no way am i saying that the maquette isn't great or anything so please don't flame me. I don't mean no disrespsect to Mr Sosa's work.

Still, I think the maquette is alot better in terms of the amount of details that went into it.
The wire work on one of the boots is astonishing.'I'm just afraid the casting process would not be able to fully capture all those details. I also worry that the painters in china will not be able to do the maquette justice.
But if you're restricted in your budget you should definitely check this one out.
I just wished the unmasked statue would look like this,

Great comparisons veri!

I'm beginning to see why the HT IM is such a steal now, given its accuracy and details.

Wow and where'd u find that last pic? is that made by someone else?

If only the SS maquette looked like that. its pretty spot on! Lovin the roughed up, dirty battle damaged look! SS M1 looks too clean by comparison.

We'll see. If the production pieces look as good as the prototype, it will be. Somethings telling me that this will look more like a toy after it's done.

I dunno, HT seems to hit the nail on the head with ever figure they release. And their final products seem to always seem to match or exceed their prototype samples. I can't wait to see this one in hand.

I don't know if you've seen past HT figures like their TDK line esp with the detailed paints on Joker's portrait.
I would say 90% of their figures match the level of work that went into the proto.
HT QC is without doubt, one of the best.
