For Marvel statues, what do you prefer? Comic-based or movie-based? Personally, I prefer comic-based and its what I collect. Never had any love for the movie-based stats but what about you?

Depends on the character, for example,

I prefer The shape of The Things head in the movies than i do in the comics. This is just pure awesomeness.

Definitely comic based for me.

The only movie piece I have any interest in is the IM 1:1. Take a look at the SS Beast and Thing maquettes, discussion over.

I really don't care as long as I like the design.
Just so happens 9 times out of 10, I like the Comic/Art based designs .

Mostly comic based. The IM 1:1 and both Ghost Rider maquettes are all favorites of mine though.

Comic base obviously.
But if i had to choose between getting the Iron Man comiquette or a movie maquette i would definitely choose the latter.
I dont think much of the comiquette IMO.

Comic based. I've never been a fan of movie based statues.

Movie based. Comic based only if it incorporates realistic styling to it. Not a fan of cartoony-comic looks.

Maybe like the Wolverine comiquette. Comic costume. But realistic style.

I don't see a good reason to favor one over the other.

If I have a particularly good feeling about a certain movie, or a comic series (with a great artist), I would buy a statue based upon recreating that feeling, essentially bringing back good memories each time I see the statue.

The only exception would be a statue that just blows me away in terms of sculpting prowess. Some statues look so amazing that they can stand on their own, regardless of the details on the source material.
That being said, I still wouldn't buy an "amazing" sculpt for a horrendous character. ;)

with the exception of the Iron Man bust, comic based. If movies stay closer to comic books routes I may be more inclined to get movie stuff tho.

If I was going to have a 1:1 Spiderman I would probably want the movie version, just for visual interest tho.
