Exp from last year showed me that Friday is a nice calm slow day. Easy to roam around and see whos got what. Also the best day to hit artist ally without a ton of people crowding the hallway.

Saturday was a waste getting up early to get to the show opening, cause they have the whole javits opened to the show. That the line goes really fast. Sunday is the same.

Of course any hot exclusives, get them on Fri or first thing Sat.

Not a great show to haggle deals off of vendors, since they spend a lot for tables. Get better deals at Wizard World Shows. But a ton of stuff to find and look thru that might be worth the cash that you wont find at most cons.

Get a professional pass if you can. It allows you in early on Friday (like 5 hours before the crowds). Even if you only intend on going on Friday, it is well worth the price of an extra 2 days.

If you drive, parking near the convention center is upwards of $45. Park 5-6 blocks away and you should save $20.

This past year, Saturday was a miserable waste of time as there were thousands of people making the whole place insane.

If you mean Toyfair, tickets are free but only press are allowed in, no general public at all. But you can fill out the ticket request and say that you are a reporter for the Statueforum and you should be able to get in. I went there a few years back off of my website. That gets you into the general areas with the small-medium sized companies. You have to set up appointments with the bigger ones but some of them have general large size appointments. it is pretty cool to see all the toys that will (most of the time) be coming out in the next year.

2 years ago i threw mine into the coat check, it was fine. I just wore my old crapy winter jacket in case its lost or stomped on. But if they hold the line inside again like last year, then if you can deal walking without a coat to the place should be fine.

I guess they are changing it since last year the times they posted changed every hour. I went to get PAD to sign my books at 12 noon, then it said 3pm and when i got there on line at 3pm. It said 1pm and i missed him.

I bet they figured sit down for a few hours and make a bunch of cash while doing it.

Tis why i stick to the artist ally and find the guys that i want to get signed, buy prints for myself and ebay and see new stuff.

Normally people that do go to the show take the bus or the train in since there isnt any real paring by the Javits Center.Shouldnt be to hard to get a spot at PA terminal.

The Port authority is about 6 blocks from the Javits Center.
They have an elevated parking structure and as long as I've been parking there, they haven't run out of spaces.
It's a b1tch to get out to the street, once you park. Because you have to walk through the whole friggin terminal just to get to 9th Ave.
I guess that's why not many people park there.
