This is my newest sculpture in the Silent Screen Classics line done for my friend Saul A. It's done in a mix of Super Sculpey and Sculpey Firm, is 1/4 scale and meant as a companion piece to The Phantom. It also has a simple stone column support base not shown.

I'm really enjoying doing these busts. The size has turned out to be ideal for portrait detail and likeness.

I hope you all like it.

Thanks!

Something like this usually takes around 40-50 hours of sculpting time for me.

I was lucky enough to get one of these, and the Phantom busts from Saul, and I have to tell you guys, NOT A SINGLE ONE of the pictures of these pieces do Mark's sculpt justice!!

I even refuse to paint them until I take the advanced painters class at Wonderfest, because I feel I won't do the pieces justice at my current skill level.

I have an idea to paint the pieces and then overcoat them both with a sepia colored glaze.
