I'm heading into NYC on business next week. Can anyone turn me on to some good comic shops in the big apple? I know about mid-town-comics. And Forbidden Planet. Any others I should check out?

Are you going to leave Scores long enough to stop at any comic shops? I wouldn't bet on it.

Sparks! It moved to Brooklyn? Used to be in Manhattan on 44th off Lexington. Wasn't Paul Castellano rubbed out right in front of it way back when?.

Sorry, yes, you're right...I'm confusing it with a different steak house in Brooklyn. Yes, this is the one where Paul C was rubbed out right on the sidewalk. Great steak, though!

You are CORRECT, sir! Toss up between them...maybe give it to Luger. Both are excellent!

Sheesh! Seven years out of NYC and in the midwest and look what happens to my faculties...

This is a Jewish tradition (though I don't know if Furie or his wife are Jewish). There are several healing rituals that come with death in the Jewish faith. It's all about honoring the dead and caring for the living. For instance, there's a defined mourning period (called "sitting shiva"), after which the family's supposed to take a walk around the block (symbolizing circle and cycle of life) and then move forward. Another is that a year after a burrial the grave stone goes up. People also put stones on the grave stone when they come to visit as a calling card of sorts.

Of course, if Furie or his wife aren't Jewish then this is all just interesting trivia.
