Chris Stevens Commission list

Hey guys. I'm back again:) Opening up my commission list once more. I'm doing 11 by 17 pen and ink pieces and for the first time....I'm offering grey scale marker pieces.

The pen and ink pieces will be $200 for single characters like last time. $125 for each additional character. The marker pieces are $250. $150 for each additional character. All will be (roughly) 11 by 17 bristol board unless special arrangements are made.

I accept Paypal, personal check and money order. I ask for 50% up front and the rest upon approval.

I do a rough and then once that's approved I do the finishes. That's worked pretty well so far.

My list will be open until I feel like I've got enough to keep me bust for a good while. I don't like to take more than I can do in a couple months. No unnecessarily long waits with me:)

So I meet this guy, Chris Stevens, at Heroes Con a couple of years back. Hes there as a fan and asked me to check out his portfolio. "Yaaawn....ok kid. Whatcha' got?" Imagine my surprise when I discover that this guy is a majorly talented penciler AND inker. The stuff he was doing with ink literally blew me away. World class. And his pencils werent far behind. I tell him he should be working for the big 2. He tells me hes not ready. Hows that for irony at a portfolio review? In the short time Ive known him he's grown far beyond the already brilliant ability he showed me then. And NOW....now hes decided to add marker work to his repertoire. After seeing his first real marker attempt on a recent THOR commission, once I cleaned out my pants, I promptly commissioned him to do a HELLBOY. And yes, this is him just playing around with markers. I havent seen marker work this good since Bruce Timm. Keep your eyes on this guy. The sky is the limit for him. He has a gallery here on the CAF in fact. Drop by and tell him how awesome he is!

I wasn't surprised when Chris' version of Shanna attracted more comments than other pieces in my CAF gallery by Adam Hughes, Travis Charest, Alex Ross and others!

If you've only toyed with the idea of getting a commission from Chris in the past, I strongly recommend following through because you will be very pleased with the result! :) Don't hesitate, speed type your order now - heh! Best,

Chris is hands down the nicest guy I have a commission from, and his work is even waaaaay better in person too. Ooh, I'm excited for a marker piece.

I'm a big time newb around here, but Chris responds to everyone of my silly questions, His art speaks from itself and that's plain and clear to anyone with a bit of knowledge about art, but it's rare to find someone who also GIVES A !%&!%&!%&!%& about you, or anything beyond your money, so hats off to chris!

Well, the list is closed. I'm closing it faster than last time because I got a lot more marker requests than I expected and those things take quite a bit of time. My apologies to anyone who was on the fence or who was about to pull the trigger, but it has to be done:o There's always next time. By the great response to this opening, I can all but guarantee that there will be a next time:)

It was about 2 full days I think. It's pretty fast yeah. I got a pretty good response from Tim Townsend posting the Hellboy on CAF so the requests were coming from different directions and next thing I knew..I was pretty full.

Love that Dark Knight/Supes piece - very different! As for your earlier query re Paul's whereabouts, he's keeping a relatively low profile as he's bemoaning the state of the Aussie dollar and his art stash is also recovering. Best,
