THE HULK! By far my fav. comic book hero. Sure I liked Spidey and Batman as a kid but nothing compared to the jolly green giant. SS did thier PF of this character almost two years ago and it was ment with almost Universal praise. I actually had some issues with this Statue. Read my opinions below.
Face sculpt - 2 out of 5 - I know many people loved this face scult and how it looked like Kirby's artwork. And it is sculpted very well for what it is. However this look just did not do it for me. I prefer my Hulk with more anger or rage. Not the sort of dumb look he is sporting here. Yes in the comics he often looked like that. But I don't want that look permanently there for display.

Paint - 5 out of 5 - Perfect plain and simple. I love the color green they chose and how well they shaded areas with a darker green. It looks awsome in person.
Body Sculpt - 5 out of 5 / Pose - 2 out of 5 - Total - 4 out of 5 - This body scult is Perfect and he is HUGE!!!! I love how the hands are done, the feet look very realistic. The Muscles are huge but not overly defined. Just fantastic. Unfortunately I am just not crazy about the pose. I think he looks great from the side (see pic 1) but from straight on (pic 2) he just looks lumbering and slow. You can tell he is strong but he also looks like you could play keep away with him. It's to bad I don't love the pose as much as the sculpt because that would make this the Best Body scult/pose ever!

Clothes - 3 out of 5 What is there is OK but I wish they spent a little more time ripping up the pants and shirt more.
Weapons - N/A - "HULK DOES NOT NEED WEAPONS!!!" Do his muscles count??
Lasting appeal - 3 out of 5 - This may surprise some but I sold this bad boy. It's not that I hated it but my TV blew and I needed a new one and had no funds at the time. But if I loved him more I would have found a way. If the face sculpt and pose were better I would have waited longer for the TV or sold off something else. It also did not hurt that I knew I could get a pretty penny for him. However I waited a long time to pick this one up also. Again it comes back to the face sculpt and pose. Do I every regret selling him?? Sure sometimes. But I know if I had him I would be thinking of selling him again. Especially with the prices he is going for now.
Overall - 3 out of 5 Again I really don't like that face or pose. The sculpt and size almost made up for it but in the end those two things really hurt the piece for me. I know many love this statue and I can understand why, it just did not hit the right spot for me. However I have no problem calling it a classic or a GRAIL.
