This is a new product advertised in May Previews.
Toybiz with the help of Upper Deck have made a game that reminds me of HeroClix. But these figures are larger and poseable.
Being a Marvel card collector, I'm only interested in the cards.
UD wasn't any help answering my questions, so I'll have to wait to hear back from Toybiz.

I have been waiting on these since they announced them at Toy Fair. I hope this is going to be big so we can get many of these figures.

They're pics of characters/action scenes.

From the package art, I see spidey, elektra, FF, Iron fist, ghost rider, Thing, Doc ock, and some battle scenes (?). Its hard to tell, they're onna funny angle and are real small. The figures are AWESOME though...

Series two is being offered in Previews this month.
Just wish Toybiz will get around to sending series one to Diamond.

To my knowledge, Toybiz has shipped to Toys R Us.
They have not shipped to Diamond yet.
So TRU and Ebay are the only sources that I know of right now.

I only want the cards, and since they are used for the "game" I have not seen any on ebay.

One nice Forum Member sent me his. :thumbs2:

Series 2 is now out.
Both series have a chase figure.

BTW, I have only received a case of Series 2.
It did not have the Spider-Man figure.
I believe Series 1 chase is Wolverine.
Should have that case in a week or two.

These are just out over here now..im fighting my compulsion to buy every single figure or toy Marvel related...trying! trying! Plus the Marvel figure factory toys are also out! And ive just bought the Sentinel Marvel legends series so i dont have much income left over after that..

I picked up all the Punishers my local Toys 'R' Us had.. but I only opened one to stick in the cabinet. I lucked out and got three Punisher cards, but if he appears on any others I am in dire need, as I will not be purchasing any more of these figures. I will gladly trade my other cards, or pay for the Punisher cards I'm missing. I have 'Pun1, 2, 3' I believe they're called..

I will check it out tomorrow to be sure.

Each character figure has their first 3 cards per package.
Now you'll have to find the other 5 cards.
I'm trying to complete the set of cards and tiles.
There are a total of 72 Power Cards in SHS and 36 Battle Tiles.

Do you have the Punisher tile/card?
Keep in mind, it will be tough to complete your set. Most collectors will be playing the game, while other's don't care and throw them away.
Have not seen any on Ebay yet, while the Figure Factory cards have been coming up regularly. BTW, there's a Punisher card there too.

I have somewhere complete checklists for the hero cards and tiles.
They told me also that there wouldn't be any duplicate hero cards, but there seems to be.
I'm missing several. I know 6 will be from the Spider-Sense figure, which I don't have yet. But some figures had the exact same hero cards and tiles as other character figures.
I've opened every figure, plus a few duplicates just to make sure. So I think they inserted some of the cards either early or late, and that's why there's dups, and I'm short on cards.

PM or preferrably email me, and we can share more info.

Just got the Series 4 Showdown Thor, thanks to a good friend who spotted it in the store... a really nice Thor figure, better than either of the standard scale Thor ML figures IMO. I wouldn't have paid the $35 - $40 going rate on eBay, but I'm delighted to have one.

If Hasbro isn't continuing this line, that's a shame... I would have liked a few more Avengers.

I'll stay on the lookout for the 4th ML Showdown Wave out here in Guam, Ryche... sometimes the stores here get things (months after they were manufactured) from Asian distributors, so the Thors could still show up here. If I see them, I'll grab one for you and PM the good word.

True that. I didnt' get a chance to stop yesturday, but headed back tomarrow (Sunday) so I may take a look, but just not worth calling. Never get the information I need, and if I get any at all, it's usually wrong! :( Best to just look for myself :rolleyes:

Yeah I don't bother calling anymore. Even asking things while your there doesn't help sometimes either. I asked a guy if they carried a particular set of figures and he said no. But when I was looking around, I found them right there on a shelf!:rolleyes:

I'd like to reply to this again.

When calling stores, the idiots treat me like an idiot most of the time, yet......

When writing/emailing headquarters and speaking face to face with a manager, has scored me cards many times. Marvel Pepsi cards from Mexico, Hulk Sears cards from Canada, and Hulk Nabisco cards from Wal-Mart come to mind. And a good deal on Australian Rolling Stones with the X-Files cover.

Also scored a discount on some garbage cans at Wal-Mart and a $40 gift card. :thumbs2:

So it does pay sometimes to investigate, ask for, and/or complain.
