Here's some songs that I like that are related to comics: :thumbs2:
Five For Fighting - Superman
3 Doors Down - Kryptonite
Black Sabbath - Iron Man
Chad Kroeger - Hero
And of course the Spider-Man theme! :buttrock:

You should try listening to some Monster Magnet.
They kick ass :buttrock:
They have comic references in some of their songs.
And the have a killer instrumental called Ego the Living Planet.

Do you have the Aerosmith cover of the theme? It rules.

I don't know if you guys heard of Urban Dance Squad, they're dutch (maybe know the song 'fastlane' & 'deeper shade of soul'?), but the singer is a real comic fan. In some songs he mentions a ton of comic artists & writers. :)

The Sin City Soundtrack is great comic book music. Fit the flick and the comic perfectly.

I love listening to Dead Can Dance whenever I'm reading some fantasy stuff.

I know there's alot of Tony Bacala remixed stuff out there. From Transformers, Final Fantasy to Dragonball Z. Great stuff.

I was just telling my wife a few weeks ago that we need to pick that one up.
The cover will go nicely with our Wolverine and Evil Ernie covers from Entombed-Wolverine Blues and Doomsday. Not my kind of music, but the covers are great (not refering to Joe).

I have one of their albums, with that song "deeper shade of soul", I know a chick who used to be one of their groupies and used to be involved with one of the band members.

Lets not forget the wu tang clan. Ghostface Killah refers to himself as "Tony Stark" sometimes, and on the album "supreme clientele" he samples the 60's iron man cartoon theme and some dialogue. The RZA is an admitted comics fan and makes reference to a lot of comics in his work as well. The cover of one of the RZA's albums (when he went under the pseudonym Bobby Digital) was drawn by Bill Siencewicz (sp?).

Anyone else got this splendid prog-rock album? Crazy Thor song (My-el-neer?), heart-rending tribute to the Surfer, stomping futuristic Iron-Man nigh-instrumental, and a love-song to Madame Masque. Yes, Madame Masque.

Ookla the Mok (http://www.otmfan.com/) is great for throwing in lots of comicbook references. While one can't really rock out to the music, the lyrics are a lot of fun. Here are a few examples:
Arthur Curry (http://www.otmfan.com/ltagallery/html/aquaman.html) (listen (http://www.otmfan.com/mp3/Arthur%20Curry.mp3))
Super Skrull (http://www.otmfan.com/ssclub/html/skrull.htm)
Stop Talking About Comic Books Or I'll Kill You (http://www.otmfan.com/ssclub/html/stopbook.htm)

Well I Was Talking Last Night
Magneto And Titanium Man . . .
We Were Talking About You, Babe,
Oo --- They Said ---
You Was Involved In A Robbery
That Was Due To Happen
At A Quarter To Three
In The Main Street.

I Didn't Believe Them
Magneto And Titanium Man . . .
But When The Crimson Dynamo
Finally Assured Me, Well, I Knew

You Was Involved In A Robbery
That Was Due To Happen
At A Quarter To Three
In The Main Street.

So We Went Out
Magneto And Titanium Man . . .
And The Crimson Dynamo
Came Along For The Ride

We Went To Town With The Library
And We Swung All Over That
Long Tall Bank In The Main Street

Well There She Were And To My Despair
She's A Five-Star Criminal
Breaking The Code

Magneto Said "Now The Time Come
To Gather Our Forces And Run!!!"
Oh No . . . . . .
This Can't Be So . . . . . .

And Then It Occurred To Me!

You Couldn't Be Bad
Magneto Was Mad!
Titanium Too!
And The Crimson Dynamo
Just Couldn't Cut It No More
You Were The Law . . . . .

Oh yea!!

Spin Doctors - Pocket Full of Kryptonite
Jim Croce - Don't Mess Around with Jim (You don't pull on Superman's cape)

It is a reach, but the Foreigner song "Star Rider" always made me think of the Silver Surfer.
