I used a combo of both Prismacolor markers & Prismacolor pencils. I put a flat layer of markers for their skin and then go over with a little darker shades of pencils. I don't know how Tony colors with just the pencils. It's alot easier for me to combine the two.

I can definitely see some of Tony in the style there, but it's also your own. Excellent colouring work too. It must be a drag for him to have you parading models through the house though.:)

No, I search out pics online. Mostly of girls in bathing suits. :o

No, she or the Spider-Women won't be in the movie, but we were given permission to draw characters that have appeared in his comics. We were not allowed to draw movie character versions for this set. Strictly comic book related.

LOL. Yeah. I figured I needed something new besides the Campy and Family Guy cards if I were to stand a chance getting on any sets. I had to use and draw a lot of female anatomy using model reference pics. :)

The sketch cards for this set aren't based on the movie. It is probably hard for them to get the actors approvals too. We were given the okay to draw characters based on the comics. Since a lot of Avengers made appearances in the comics we were given the okay to draw them. I'm still not too comfortable drawing men in this style. I really wanted to do War Machine, the Crimson Dynamo, the Mandarin, etc..... Oh, Upper Deck said that we weren't allowed to draw the Sentry, Ultimate Nick Fury, Tony Stark without the armor and Pepper Potts too (for some odd reason). I found out about Pepper Potts too late and mine wasn't approved. :(

The set isn't based on the movie. We were given the okay to draw characters based on the comics. Since a lot of Avengers made appearances in the comics we were given the okay to draw them. I'm still not too comfortable drawing men in this style. I really wanted to do War Machine, the Crimson Dynamo, the Mandarin, etc..... Oh, Upper Deck said that we weren't allowed to draw the Sentry, Ultimate Nick Fury, Tony Stark without the armor and Pepper Potts too (for some odd reason). I found out about Pepper Potts too late and mine wasn't approved. :(
