So....... Chris Stevens is an art god.

I told him just pick a character for my pirate theme, and don't give me a prelim. This is what he did.

I LOVE IT. He said he's never drawn Harley before thought she'd be good because her outfit was so distinctive. That and she had boobs, so she'd fit nicely into my gallery :D

Yeah, one of my goals with this theme is that I want the most creative piece an artist will give me. I always tell them: "Pick any character you want, and don't give me a prelim or tell me who it is. Dress them as a pirate, leave a little costume, or a display of powers....just something so I know who it is. Everything else is up to you. If you're happy with it, I'll be happy with it."

If I can, I'll commission the piece outside a con, just because it can be harder to come up with something like that on the spot. I love seeing what these artists come up with though.

I'm glad you like it, Chris. It was a really fun thing to do. Just being given the go ahead to come up with something is always a treat.

Love Harley Quinn and this came out fantastic. This is such a unique theme, can I ask what made you decide on pirates?

I picked them because they're more awesome than Ninjas. :p

Seriously though, I really just dig all the variety you can get out of the pirate universe, and thought it's be a really cool match up with comic characters. I've got another similar theme in mind, but I'm not unveiling it until I get my first piece........which (the plan is) I'll be having Chris Stevens do it when his list re-opens.

Well, it's about damn time! I finally got my Pirate Harley in hand. The fault was not Chris' though. The idiots down at my post office were too lazy to bring it by the house because of the signature confirmation. The guy didn't leave me a slip or notice though, so I had no idea it came (there's ALWAYS someone here when they deliver, and it's not the first time they've done this, although it is the first time they didn't leave anything). I emailed Chris the other day and he told me he sent it and we both started worrying. I decided to just run down to my post office to check with them before Chris had to file a claim or something, and it was there. They've had it since Sept 3rd!
