This past Dragoncon, my wife helped me pull off a costume I'd been meaning to do for years : Zapp Brannigan! Real velour, the whole works.
She dressed up as the whale biologist since we were having problems finishing off a decent looking eye for Leela, ah well, there's always next year. I'll get the wig + proper shoulder pads ready for then too.
Wearing the world's shortiest skirt was something else, let me tell you. How women manage that kind of thing, I have no clue!
I think the best thing about it was being obnoxious to half the people asking for my photo, some people get pretty taken aback when you tell them they need to ask more sexfully if they want your photo (I guess some people hadn't seen the show!) Pretty hilarious costume overall, good times.
