Hey guys. Though I'd start up a collection thread, now that I've got a few things to show. :)

Let's start where it all began, at Supanova in Perth in June this year.

Nicola Scott is a great person to talk to, a talented artist and not exactly hard on the eyes! She did this Cheetah sketch for me:
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h76/shaznan/Cheetah-NScott.jpg

I also purchased this page from Birds of Prey:
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h76/shaznan/BoP118p21.jpg

The interesting thing about Nicola's work is that she does prelim pencils in reverse on the back of the comic page, so you effectively get two pieces of art for the price of one!

The next person I spoke to was Jason Chatfield, who does the Ginger Meggs comic strip. Everyone else was asking for sketches of Ginger, so I thought I'd ask for an Eddie Coogan sketch. He ended up doing me this little strip, as he remembered a joke involving Coogan:
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h76/shaznan/GingerMeggsStrip.jpg

Later on I went back, and he was doing sketches of Ginger as various superheroes, so I asked him to do SuperMeggs:
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h76/shaznan/Supermeggs.jpg

Unfortunately, I didn't get to Tim Sale in time for a fastpass sketch, but I caught him during a slow period and he did this Bizarro for me:

On the second day of Supanova, I got in bright and early and was able to get a fastpass sketch from Tim Sale. This is his rendition of Etrigan:
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h76/shaznan/Etrigan-TSale.jpg

While waiting in line for Tim, I found out that Dave Gibbons was doing quick sketches for people when things weren't too busy (contrary to the sign behind him saying he wasn't doing sketches). I caught him during a slow period, and he did this Hal Jordan for me:

My next pickup was from eBay - I won this sketch of the David Tennant Dr Who by Blair Shedd:
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h76/shaznan/DrWhoPencils.jpg

Also included was this digitally coloured version...
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h76/shaznan/DrWhoColour.jpg

And a print of what I believe will be the cover to the comic adaptation of the next Dr Who special, The Waters of Mars:

Now we move to September. My wife went on holidays to the USA with her sister, and while over there, they went to Dragon*Con.

Prior to the con, I made contact with Dan Brereton, and organised for him to do me an Etrigan sketch for pickup at the con. The agreement was for a full body Etrigan "with some colour", and boy did Dan deliver!
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h76/shaznan/Etrigan-DanBrereton.jpg

I gave my wife two sketchbooks to take along with her. One had the theme Legion of Doom (the villains from the old Challenge of the Superfriends cartoon). She managed to get me three sketches in this book.

Giganta by Andy Price:
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h76/shaznan/Giganta-AndyPrice.jpg

Bizarro by George Perez:
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h76/shaznan/Bizarro-GeorgePerez.jpg

Captain Cold by Ken Steacy:

The other sketchbook had the theme Spider-Man: Friends and Foes. My wife was only able to get one sketch in this, as Mark Brooks had the book for pretty much the whole con, but what a sketch:
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h76/shaznan/Spider-Man-MarkBrooks.jpg

I was also lucky to get a sketch from Amanda Conner. Lucky, because she fell ill on the Sunday of the con and was in her room all day. She still managed to do this Krypto and Streaky for me though:

On her way back from the USA, my wife stopped in Brisbane and my son and I flew over to meet her and spend a few days there. While there, GenConOz was on.

I spoke to Wayne Nichols, and he did this great Solomon Grundy in my Legion of Doom sketchbook:
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h76/shaznan/SolomonGrundy-WayneNichols.jpg

Stewart McKenny was there as well. Unfortunately he wasn't doing sketches as he was under pressure to meet deadlines, but i picked up this Gorilla Grodd piece that he already had in his folder:

Here are two pieces that arrived in the mail yesterday which I won on eBay.

They are consecutive pages (4 and 5) of issue 4 of The Dresden Files: Welcome to the Jungle. David Rivera inks over Ardian Syaf pencils:

http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h76/shaznan/DresdenFilesp4.jpg

http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h76/shaznan/DresdenFilesp5.jpg

Unfortunately, they weren't inked over the original pencils (contrary to what I was told), but for the price I can't complain too much. And my wife loves them (she's a big Harry Dresden fan), so it's all good. :D

Etrigan's No. 1 Fan!!! :buttrock:

BTW, you should make your photobucket account private. All your artwork comes up when you type in Etrigan. People can use the images to print out their own copies and do whatever with them.

Yeah, it's great to see such a wide variety in interpretations.

Apparently this is the second version that he did - the first went missing in transit, and he did it again at no additional cost!

Good lord, it's been a while since I've done any updating in here!

Let's start with the pieces that my wife picked up at Dragon*Con this year.

Firstly there is a piece for my son by Stephanie Gladden:
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h76/shaznan/Chowder-StephanieGladden1-Copy.jpg

She also picked up one piece for herself, by Thom Zahler:
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h76/shaznan/Oracle1-Copy.jpg

I have three new pieces in my Spider-Man: Friends and Foes sketchbook.

This piece by Adam Withers was bought as a Father's Day present:
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h76/shaznan/Daredevil-AdamWithers1-Copy.jpg

This piece was done by Jeremy Dale:
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h76/shaznan/SpideyFriends-JeremyDale1-Copy.jpg

And this piece by Rod Thornton:
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h76/shaznan/Spider-Man-RobThornton1-Copy.jpg

I also received three new Etrigan sketches for my collection.

Daniel Govar
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h76/shaznan/Etrigan-DanielGovar1-Copy.jpg

Cat Staggs (her first ever Etrigan)
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h76/shaznan/Etrigan-CatStaggs1-Copy.jpg

And last, but by no means least, Jeff Scott Campbell
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h76/shaznan/Etrigan-JScottCampbell1.jpg

Sketches by Cat and Jeff were actually all that I asked for, but my wife made some great picks again for some more excellent additions to the collection.
