Although the likeness is not quite there, it's another great looking figure from the Hot Toys camp.

It's a shame they haven't quite nailed the likeness on this. I can't quite put my finger on it but something is ever-so-slightly off, imo.

A nice figure, accompanied by some good accessories, but the likeness is not one of their best.

you guys are blind. It's a perfect likeness. Best sculpt out there so far.

I'm not seeing it. To my old eyes this isn't anywhere near as good as the HT Dutch sculpt.

Close or should I say seems like it still needed some work or tweeking. Likeness IMO is not perfect ....I even asked my assistant and she pretty much said that you can tell it's him but it's no where as good as the PF likeness......always good to ask a non-collector for thier opinion.

You can have the perfect sculpt and there will still be pessimists that find fault with it.

One is not a pessimist simply because they do not agree with your opinion.

Conan PF and T800PF has a better likeness of Arnold if you ask me, but its not a bad likeness on this one in my opinion. Who knows, meaby I'll buy it down the line :)

Note that when Arnold was playing Dutch, he did not take face surgery back then.

This is a toy, and for a toy, this is completely amazing.

Hot Toys' Dutch sculpt superbly captures how Arnold looked as Dutch in Predator. Their T-800 sculpt struggles to capture how Arnold looked as the T-800 in Terminator 2. Something is clearly off with the facial likeness and I don't see how it has anything to do with surgery Arnold might have had between the two films. It should look how Arnold looked in 1991 as the T-800 in Terminator 2...and they just haven't quite nailed it.

Just in my opinion, of course.

Really? Not ONE bit? So if someone showed you a pic of just his head and said "who is this?" you would be like "No idea man. Not a damn clue. I give up... who is it?"

Best Terminator Arnie I've seen for under $200.

My point was only to state that it is not fair to compare Dutch and the T-800 from T-2, because the actor changed his face during this time.
And, I just say that for a toy, it is quiite a good representation.

I am amazed by the improvement and the diversity Hot toys is following.

Having raised the bar with their incredible Dutch sculpt, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect the same level of quality and execution on this and future toys. Even if an actor's facial appearance has altered between roles, it's Hot Toy's job to re-create what's on screen as accurately possible....and (again imo) they just haven't pinned down Arnold's (post-surgery) T2 likeness.

What does DX mean?

Deluxe, basically. It's a slightly "higher-end" version of an existing figure. You can check out the DX versions of their Joker and Batman to see what it means.

I wouldn't be too concerned about it. If you think there's a chance they'll re-issue it, just wait and see. I didn't care if they improved Joker and Batman since I was already happy with the versions I had.

I'm getting one. Despite all the opinions over the likeness, I think they captured a great interpretation of a terminator. His expression is just the right amount of menace and the proportions/placement of the head to the body look good.

On the Predator Dutch figure, the head looks too big or the neck too long or something even if the likeness is a bit closer to Arnold.

Hmmm....perhaps I've been at tad harsh on the T-800 sculpt. It actually looks rather good in that comparison shot. *runs away*

"Um...uh...is it supposed to be Jackie Chan? Donna Summer?"
If you listen very carefully, you can actually hear my eyes rolling.

Mine's ordered. I love T2 so I will be purchasing everything in this line. The face is off in the eyes and forehead, and I'd hope Hot Toys will tweak it before production as they have often done in the past.
