Anyone remember these.

I am still getting my comics and comic stuff shipped from my parents place in Canada, to my home in Houston. Along with my comics there was a binder with Marvel cards. It had the complete series from 90 - 92 with holograms, plus a bunch of other comic series cards. Talk about a flashback. I had totally forgotten about these. I have bought individual card sleeve protectors and started to mount them in very large picture frames, so I can display them.

I'm not a big card collector but I bought these on e-bay:

I remember when they were popular, I had X-men ones, and Silver Surfer ones. I think I had Punisher ones also.

Yeah, I've got a few of those sets, (what was I thinking?) and a few of the Jim Lee X-men card sets with the 5 hologram set.

Oof. I still have a bunch of cards in binders from the early-mid 90s. No idea why I was collecting them, unless it was some sort of psychological penance for throwing away all my Star Wars cards from 1977 when I was 14. Sigh.

The cards were cool, though. I'm planning on keeping them in a box in the attic for my grandkids to find in fifty years. They may, by that time, actually be worth what I paid for them.

I wish I had all the money I spent on my Marvel and DC trading cards. I've got all the Marvel Masterpiece cards (w/inserts), Marvel Universe (w/inserts), Marvel Flair (yes w/ inserts), Marvel Ultra (yep), a bunch of DC sets (duh, w/ inserts), yada yada.

Got them all, and then about 20 times more.
Hey, speaking of cards, I'm looking for boxes of Kudos with Star Wars cards on the backs. Need all 3 from the Snickers, and all 3 from chocolate chip.
Thanks!

Does anyone know where I can get some singles of the "Marvel Superheroes First Issue Covers" series? I need about 10 more cards to complete a set.

Now I might be interested in buying packs of cards if Marvel would make something like this but, (here is the kicker) a card for every comic they have ever made. It would be the ultimate set. It would take a very, very long time to complete but, once you did wouldn't it be worth it?

Is this the set from 1991? If so, let me know which ones you need and I'll see if I can help you out.

Dude when I was buyin Marvel cards in 3rd grade there was nothing better in the world. These things are what got me into X-Men and comics... starting with Fleer Ultra X-Men 94. I still have all of them, and even though they are worthless, they're priceless to me. I love going through them now and again...

My new obsession though is the original art for the cards. This past Christmas I got the Mr Sinister for the Fleer Ultra 94 set done by Brereton (my avatar) and its stunning. I'd LOVE to get some more original pieces from my fav cards, something from the Hildebrandts, more Brereton, etc etc... but I need the $$.

That's sorta like my idea to have all of Bowen's Marvel products on cards. That would make a great set. A good reference guide.

Wait, I may not have singles of Marvel Superheroes First Issue Covers. I'm not sure if those were sold in packs. I do know they were sold as a Factory Set.
I have a few singles of Marvel 1st Covers II.

I purchased the entire Silver Surfer set from 92. Only 19 bucks. They are the ones w/ the holograms on the cards. The first card is the first SS cover. Know what I'm referring to?

Should I put these in sleeves?

I had the set. Weren't they all holographic or something. I remember getting headaches if I looked at them too long.

Yeah, put them in sleeves.

Which X-Men 1? There's many. What year and manufacturer?
I'm guessing Fleer Ultra.

I am not positive, but I have X take a look, we may have a Collectors Tin of the Marvel Masterpiece I complete with chase and the Lost art cards (5).....Book value is pretty stiff, but we could probably work something out. :thumbs2: I have list of busts/statues that the man of house thinks he needs....
