As impressed as I am with DC being able to put out a weekly book, I have to imagine at some point the fans simply cannot afford it and still keep picking up other titles.
It didn't occur to me that WWH will run until October at least. Probably past that, either with the same branding or a derivative like "Initiative" is to Civil War.

I think most all of DC's titles are countdown tie ins.

This is another reason why i stopped buying comics, except for a few tittle. After all these events, and stuff, it either comes out in TPB few weeks later cheaper or you can hit a convention and buy the whole set in dollar bins.

Sometimes you can, anyway. Not all the time, though with trades you can usually get the stories. But the dollar bins aren't nearly as dependable anymore--not as much product being produced, for one thing.

This really puts it into perspective.
For the most part, I dont do tie-ins. In the case of 52, for example, I picked up WWIII. I liked it, but all in all it was fluff and did nothing for the story.
Now, I find myself focusing on what might be considered fluff or filler in event-driven books like countdown. man, theres alot of fluff.
That being said, I do not stray far from the actual book and try not doing x-overs/tie-ins. Endangered Species already got the axe. I am not about to follow this through 15 different titles. If i am already reading it (ie New Avergers / Initiative) is one thing, but I will not actively pursue the story and pay premium on top of that. F that mess.
