I enjoy my little digital camera but want to buy a better one, perhaps a Nikon D3 or D300. I enjoy taking shots of structures more than anything else, mostly wooden or stone. Outdoors is where I long to be 90% of the time.
Anyway.. that's me in a nutshell and here are some of my images. They were all taken on a walk through my town of Davis, Ca on a visual hike through the Putah Creek area near the UC Davis Campus. It's got a lot to see and is very relaxing. Anyway.. here ya go:
Thanks Trilogy. I kind of like them, but really want to upgrade to taker better photos. Some people tell me they enjoy the angles I choose, but without the balance of performance to quality, this little 10.2 mp point and shoot has got to go away. Once I get the D-SLR then maybe I will finally be fully pleased with the photos.
nice outdoor pics! i never knew there was anything out there. it's a place to pass by whenever i take my parents to Cache Creek Casino.
The name of the area is the "Arboretum" , it's right next to the UCD Campus. It's actually got quite a bit to look at if you care to. Like I say, I like the stone/wood structures the most. Sometimes you just have to look at an area for a bit from different angles to "see" what you're looking for, but I always find plenty. I just wish I had a better camera. It will come in time though. I take at least one trip a month to this site and I always find something new.
Thanks everyone for your kind words on this amateurs work, means a lot.
