How are your statue packages arriving? (damaged boxes)
Got a statue today with big deep gouge into the packaging. Many inches in width.
Packaging was outer box, corner foam pieces so there is like an inch of airspace, gouge continued into the statue's box and a good dent into the inner foam. Statue was fine, but man, I'm seeing more gouges like this these days. This was UPS, not keeping track so far but seems they all are getting rough with stuff. WTF device is gouging into them? What are they doing using a damn fork lift? I get the feeling it's some automated process that is slamming them into something sharp?
Good thing statues are generally shipped very protected. But still, getting slammed hard can still break things no matter how well packed.

You should check out the vid that Dana White got of a guy loading boxes into his delivery van. Pretty crazy.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I think sometimes drivers don’t realize how heavy these boxes can be. I witnessed a FedEx driver handling the P1 alien queen and the box slipped out of his hands, he later decided to use a hand truck for both boxes.

Received a Prime 1 statue with the same issue. Box was so badly gouged the hole/tear punched through the foam. Statue was unfortunately damaged. Received the typical Prime 1 customer service aka 'we can't replace the statue and F off' type response.

Most UPS damage happens during transfer from truck to truck. They try and squeeze the boxes off to and under the sides of the truck so "it's not in their way". When they do that the metal shelves gouge the box. Like Solid said they hire drivers that don't know what they're doing and think they can just drop the box off the back without aid. It wouldn't surprise me that a lot of these shippers make it to the state shops looking that way too before we get them.
If you go to the QS 1/3 Catwoman on Batpod thread, you'll see the BS I went through with that piece. The box is the size of a refrigerator with wheels, and they deliver it to me on its side because God forbid someone knows how to use wheel brakes. It came to me fine but when I resold it I shipped via UPS to my buyer, and it came damaged. I fought UPS claims for 2.5 months and eventually they sent me a refund check.
Funny thing, the day the check came it was raining and we had a floater for USPS. The moron left an art print poster tube hanging outside my mailbox in the rain. Completely damaged. If the UPS claims check wasn't under a bunch of junk mail it would have gotten damaged too and that would have been another three months wait for a replacement.
P1 Arkham Origins Killer Croc. A UPS driver dropped the box on a rock, or the end of his truck and it pierced a fist-sized hole through the shipper, styrofoam, color box and clamshell. You could see Crocs foot through the bottom of the box and all those holes. Thankfully there wasn't any damage to Croc.
First 4 Figures Bowser EX. Again, UPS delivers the boxes on a sunny day here in CT, but both outer boxes were completely damp, water damaged and unsalvageable. The inner brown boxes and color were fine.
