Smile Rilynil's collection pictures

I've done a pretty big update of my collection pics. Thanks so much for dropping in and taking a look! (Sorry if the page takes a while to load. New pictures! Bigger pictures! I hope it's worth the wait!). I've updated almost the entire statue portion of my collection pics. Overall, the collection pics continue through Post No. 9.

This is where the bulk of my collection is: along one wall in my office at home (the room where I let my love for superheroes run wild. The rest of my house is fairly normal).

The next four pictures are the absolute favorite pieces of my collection: my fullsize X-23 commission (sculpted by John Cleary and painted by Dan Cope and displayed with a copy of "NYX" No. 4, autographed by writer Joe Quesada and artist Josh Middleton); and next to the X-23 pic is my Sideshow Dr. Doom PF exclusive statue. If my house were on fire, the X-23 commission and Doom PF would be the first two statues I'd save. (As a side note, sculptor Pablo Viggiano used a couple of my moody close-up pics of the Sideshow Doom PF on his Web site, sculptedheroes.com. Pretty cool!)

And following are four of my prized displays:

BLOBAPALOOZA!
I also own the Bowen Designs Blob bust, but I keep it on a shelf in front of a lot of my Marvel omnibus collections.
I really love the drawing Jess did of me as the Blob! (I've got a lot more Blob cards, but these are among my favorites)
My Blob original-sculpt bust is now with one of my X-Men displays in a detolf.

VISIONPALOOZA!
These are four shelves of a single detolf full of Vision goodness!
Note: In the third picture below, the postcard of Avengers No. 57 is signed by writer Roy Thomas.

MYSTERIOPALOOZA!
These are three shelves of a single detolf (next to Visionpalooza) filled full of Mysterio goodies!
I finally got a copy of Amazing Spider-Man No. 13, Mysterio's first appearance! Yay!

COLOSSUSPALOOZA!

"Marvel Tales" No. 46 is the first Spider-Man comic I ever read, waaaaaaay back in 1973. I give credit for my love of comics to this Stan Lee/John Romita gem. This is a mint copy I bought a year or two ago, but I still have the extremely battered original Marvel Tales comic I bought back in '73.

And here are two detolfs across the room from the row of detolfs.

And this is my Marvel Peanuts painting by Jess. I love this SO MUCH!

A close-up shot of my five little Spidey dios (Mysterio was to be next, but they discontinued the line!!! ARRRGGGGHHHHH!):

Here is my Marvel Classic and DC collection of lead figures. I recently ran out of room, so I bought a second mirrored-back cabinet and placed it under my original one. I've now got room for 10 rows of figurines (that's room for about 250!). WOOOO, I love my little lead guys! All this is to the left of my desk:

And here is my desk that has been overrun by a variety of stuff: HeroClix, Marvel Legends, Megos, rubber figures, sketch cards, keychains, coins, , my Dynamic Forces grey Hulk-reading-a-book statue and even an Obama action figure! (Some Blob, X-23 and Colossus stuff is behind my computer monitor.)
AND SIDESHOW'S GALACTUS OVERLOOKS ALL!

And you ain't got a collection until you have a Hulk garbage can!
BOO-YAAAAA! ENVY ME, SUCKAS!!!!!

Some stray stuff collecting in a corner:

1976 Marvel Superhero lunchbox and Thermos! I had one as a kid, and now I have one again!

Here is the original New X-Men art that I've got framed.
I'm behind on getting some other stuff framed and displayed.

And here is my commissioned art of my favorite villain, Mysterio, painted by Stuart Sayger.
Man, I love this piece.

My four watercolor paintings by the statueforum's own Mark McHaley!
I hope to get an X-23 painting added to this display.

Best friends:

I love "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!"

Here is a commission piece by Melike. I had this done for Christmas 2006 and I had framed copies made for a variety of nephews and kids who've I've coached in basketball. It shows all my kids interacting with a bunch of Marvel characters (and one DC and an NBA player). That's me in the bottom right-hand side. The kids LOVED getting this for Christmas.

Here is my framed art by Polish artist Jacek Yerka. I have loved his work for more than 10 years now.

And that's the vast majority of my stuff! Thanks again for taking a look!
