ECC - The Lost World Velociraptor Maquette

Just unveiled by Steve Wang.

1:4 Scale, limited to 199 pieces.
This is the best licensed Velociraptor I've ever seen, and probably the best TLW Raptor maquette I've ever seen in general. At ECC they continue to deliver unparalleled JP products.

Interesting to note Steve Wang choice of words:
Quote:
Come see the mini raptor at the #elitecreaturecollectibles booth #40 @monsterpalooza this weekend. 5/31-6/2/2024 at the Pasadena Convention Center.
That "mini raptor" is surely intriguing given the huge size of this piece.

This pose is beyond words. LOVE the movement they captured here.

Do we know if that's the final base? Really not a fan of the nameplate or the font they used (I've seen it on so many store banners over the years, it's as recognizable as Comic Sans and cheapens the look of these IMO).
The wedge shape is a little funky too. And the wood trim on the side makes it look unfinished.

Wonder if/when we'll see a TLW Buck from them.

I want that

My only complaint is the base. I'd rather it be something like the long grass field they ambush the hunters in, or something from the worker's village. The base just comes off as really boring and as Blade3327 mentioned, the wood trim does make it look unfinished.

Any idea on price?

If that's real wood, one could paint it another color. Black might be too harsh, but perhaps a darker brown.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Thanks as always for these videos cocomonk.

"Mini Raptor".. this is either pretty hardcore sarcasm from Mr Wang or we're about to see a life-size Raptor statue.

They are doing a life size bust, so that may be what that meant.
