I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

What games platforms have you owned?
What games platforms have you owned? In roughly chronological order -
ZX Spectrum 48k
Atari ST
Commodore Amiga (500 and 1200)
Sega Megadraive
SNES (for about 1 week!)
PS1
PC
PS2
Xbox
Gamecube
Xbox 360
PS3
If I had to pick a favourite, I'd go with the Spectrum or the Amiga. Happy memories!

--Atari 2600 (actually a Sears Telegames, but it was the same thing...)
--TRS-80 CoCo (Color Computer--complete with 4K of onboard memory, and a cassette tape drive!)
--Commodore 64 (yeah, baby--had this for years)
--Nintendo (got one cheap in college)
--PC (chose this over consoles for years...)
--Wii (got it for my daughters)
All in all, the Atari 2600 and Commodore 64 gave me the most hours of gameplay; the PC would be a close third, even though I have less time to play these days.

The PC Engine/Turbo Grafx 16 is one of the few consoles I never really got to use, but I always wanted one, it had some great games on it at the time. Unfortunately it was never officially released in Australia, so apart from using a Japanese import for a short while once back in the day at my local gaming store (who used to rent consoles out, and imported this one especially for that purpose), that's one that pretty much passed me by completely...
