I figured we could use an uplifting thread. I bought quite a lot of Sideshow items last year, more than any other year in fact, I lost count of the amount of times I had to tell my other half "No, that's always been there" lol. Now that we've had a bit of time to reflect, I thought it would be fun to see everybodies favorite Sideshow item of last year. You can have two if you insist... but only because I'm having a hard time choosing myself haha. Lets not go too far off topic here please, this is a thread for the good stuff. Oh and feel free to post anything and everything, whether it be a t shirt or an LSF, whatever you liked the most...
For me, well I had a few impressive pieces, I am very tempted to give it to the Pacific Rim Knifehead, that thing is Awesome, and not shown off well in the pictures on Sideshows site tbh. He is big, he's heavy, he looks mean and the light up feature genuinely adds to the piece rather than being a gimmick. It is excellent! I can't believe he is still in stock, any Kaiju fans should buy him now... This instant!
Ultimately though, he was pushed into second place by my favorite statue of last year. He received a fair bit of abuse from many for his scale (1/5, but in reality he is as big as the average PF) And he certainly isn't perfect, his legs still bug me to this day. But as soon as I took him out of the box I was blown away! He looks menacing, he looks alive, the detail is insane, I'm actually still finding new symbols on him to this day. His colour changes depending on the environment. And his dead black eyes just finish him off beautifully.
He is, the Prometheus Engineer! Not everybodies cup of tea, but he makes me smile every time I sit at my desk, and that is surely why we are in this hobby?
I'll take a fully suited version now please Sideshow.
Close second, this guy demands your attention when you walk into the room.
The Tauntaun Deluxe is also really nice.
