ROAR BRIGHTEST DAY #17!
Great cover by David Finch with amazing colors!
I really like how the characters stood out from the plain white backgrounds this month on the DC titles. I suspect this was done to accentuate the new $2.99 cover price.
Forgot to pick this up last week...

Star Trek: The Offical Motion Picture Adaptation tpb
Quite a contrast from the old days, when you'd get a completed three-issue movie adaptation usually before the movie was even released, IDW didn't start on their adaptation of the new Star Trek until well after the movie had hit theaters, dragging it out over six issues, and finally collecting it trade only about a month ago. Did anyone even care by then? Wow, times have changed.
Anway, I'm easing into this whole "new Trek" thing like a bathtub full of broken glass, so I figured I'd give it a shot.

It's actually pretty good once you give it a chance. I fought at 1st but have since watched the new movie 6 or so times. I love it! "Join Ussssss"

Man, this was a great read. I knocked it out in a couple of hours and had no problem reconciling it with TOS once I figured out what was going on. It's actually pretty solid. I'm now going to watch the movie.
