For the most part, this year's Calgary Expo was lacking in the marquee artist department (had a couple that I wanted to see, but for a show with over 100K attendees, that's kinda ridiculous). The artist I was most looking forward to seeing was Dean Yeagle, and he had to cancel his appearance due to a car accident (he's okay, thankfully). I am still getting what I was planning to get from Dean, but it'll be coming in the mail now. Despite the lack of the bigger names, I still found some nice stuff. Somewhat last minute, Mike McKone was added to the show. Normally, this would have made me ecstatic, as I love his art, but I had already been planning to attend Fan Expo Regina the weekend before Calgary, just to see him and Tom Grummett. At any rate, I had to leave Regina early, and instead of having him rush the piece, I picked it up at Calgary instead. I already have a Valkyrie from him, so he did this fantastic Gamora for me:

I also signed on for a Gamora from Dan Panosian and really like how it turned out:

For the first time in quite a few years, I found an artist in Artist Alley that I hadn't heard of before, and liked her stuff so much that I signed up for a Squirrel Girl from Colette Turner. Really like how it turned out.

They had a bit of an Archie section at the show, and I picked up something from most of them:
Veronica as Sif by Dan Parent:

Predator Attacking page from Archie vs Predator by Fernando Ruiz and Roch Koslowski:

Rich Koslowski was the inker on the Archie/Predator crossover, and he had a few pre-done pieces on hand. When I can across Predator vs Veronica, I couldn't pass it up.

Came across Max Dunbar, and quite liked his art. Grabbed a couple of pages from the Vertigo series Slash and Burn, and I also got a Cassie Hack from hack/Slash from him.

Dave Johnson did his art for the Harley Quinn/San Diego Comic Con issue in a bit different way. He drew all of the panels separately, and then pieced them together digitally. So, this is Panel 3 on what I think is the 27th page of the issue (had to go by the digital comic, as I'm not sure where I stuck the physical one)

Walden Wong, inker extraordinaire was at the show and had a bunch of inked blueline pages, including a bunch of Nick Bradshaw pages. A couple of years ago, I got a pencilled GotG page by Bradshaw and I found the inked piece in his portfolio. Couldn't pass up having both.

Well, that's it for now. If you made it all the way to the bottom, thanks for looking!
