Sorry to hear this news and it is also such a shame that he had to go through with having such a terrible disease and that he wasn't very old either.

That sucks. And for those who didnt know. He also played Detective Eckhardt in Tim Burton's Batman. At least he's not suffering anymore.

From the official Star Wars site.

And I was the only one advocating a Porkins bust.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting Bill Hootkins at Celebration II and I have to say he was an exceptionally friendly and down-to-earth guy. Definitely one of the highlights in the autograph section (which is saying quite a bit). He had a wonderful sense of humor and was all-around very congenial. I was wondering why he hadn't attended CIII this year...I imagine his illness made it impossible. May he rest in peace.

He was also featured in Flash Gordon, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and many others...

And a Dallas boy, as well.

It's a shame to see anyone go at such a young age.
