Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire

Just got in from a sneek peek screening of HP and I gotta tell ya, it was by far the best of the 4 ... several things from the book were omitted from the film, but they were minimal and didn't detract from enjoying the movie at all.

If you haven't read the books, Goblet of Fire is going to leave you wanting more, since it's not quite as complete a storyline as the three previous HP installments ... alot of this movie is used to set up the next story "Order of the Phoenix" but it is still VERY MUCH worth going to go see. The CGI effects were exceptionally good in this installment, as are all the actors which we've all watched grow up in each film ... there are alot of very funny bits and by far some of the best charactorization in all 4 films to date.

For those of you with younger kids 5 or 6 ... they may not find this movie as entertaining as the previous ones, it's much darker and the storylines are getting continuously more complex, so it might be somewhat more difficult for them to follow everything that's happening. But there is more than enough eye candy for them to enjoy. I'll be taking ny nieces and nephews this weekend to see it and I'll let you know how they react.

I'll be looking forward to the next movie installment as much as I'm looking forward to the next book!

PS .... special props to Superserg for getting us the tickets!! Thanks!!

You lucky bastid! I'm dying to see this movie already. It's one of my fave in the series! I was actually hoping the Fleur would look more "dreamy" I guess, but either way I can't wait!!!

I also had the pleasure of catching this screening today and as a dude know's never read the books and didn't really enjoy parts 1-3, I thought this one rocked!!! It had suspense, action, drama and humor all nicely mixed.

Hey Jesee I really liked #1, and #2, I thought #3 sucked and I will never watch it again. Did you like #3 or does this one rank up there with the first 2.

I thought that 3 was by far the weakest of the set (but I think that this was the more the directors fault than the storys, which is probably why they thankfully didn't use him again), this one is just as good as 1 and 2 if not better.
