MAJOR Confirmation for Transformers 2

Source:TFW2005 September 10, 2008

TFW2005 has received word that the combiner Devastator will appear in the Michael Bay sequel Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The site says it has confirmed the following:

- Seven construction vehicles merge to form Devastator
- Devastator has lots of upper body strength, like a gorilla
- Not just green, some of the vehicles are red and yellow
- The previously Long Haul concept art by Josh Nizzi is legit

That sounds great, i also read somewhere that the decepticon Tidal Wave is being considered to appear in the film, imagine the sight of a huge aircraft carrier transforming on screen.

That is odd. Bay probably added 1 just so it wasn't G1 accurate, lol. I wonder if they are actually going to call it Devastator? One of the Deceps in the first movie already had that name.

That would be awesome. I read a long time ago they wanted to do this for the first movie but due to budget contrainsts had to scrap it. There's a good change it will happen for this one as I'm sure this movie has a sick budge after the performance of the first one.

From wiki...

Quote:
In the film, Devastator appears as a separate character that transforms into a heavily-modified M1 Abrams tank. This character was listed as being renamed Brawl; however, in the final movie, the Decepticon clearly identifies himself as Devastator, although the character is credited as Brawl in the merchandise. According to writers Roberto Orci and Hasbro's Transformers team, this is an error and that he is supposed to be named Brawl. However when queried, director Michael Bay has stated that he has always preferred Devastator, as it "sounded more destructive and dangerous for a Decepticon".

Sequel
The film's producer, Tom DeSanto, states the possibility of adding the Constructicons in a sequel, though it is doubtful that Bonecrusher will actually be featured as one of them, nor the use of the name Devastator should they be able to merge, due to the "mistake" in the first film.

I want the autobot "Brawn" to be brought back, he was my fav from the original toon!!! Small, and extremely tough. Second strongest autobot, only Optimus was stronger.
