Colossus to be first statue offered for Dark Phoenix Dio

Thought this was cool news as it shows Wolverine able to be placed in Colossus hands to make the fastball special

From the picture, I don't know how "natural" that "FastBall Special" looks. Yet again, I don't know if it can EVER be done naturally in 3D. I guess it's kind of cool that they even thought about that though.

I'm not a fan of this piece overall. Dead_Poole was working on a nice Fastball.

This piece looks like a bunch of action figures that have been posed. Stiff. No fluidity. So-so sculpting. I doubt this one will be coming home.

Unhappy

True that. It looks uninspired, which is sad because its one of my favorite storylines. I mean just look at that little phoenix by Jean's feet. The character is supposed to be awe inspiring and dangerous, but that little flame makes her look like she's dancing around a camp fire about to roast marshmallows. If you're going to add something like that, make it have oommph. lol. Who approves this stuff?
And that fast ball special just looks off. All these characters are supposed to have a sense of movement. I don't see that.
Just when I thought DS had finally improved on what they get approved because of the gorgeous Black Queen..

They're busts are looking better. I too like the Marvel Girl/Cyclops diorama better, but there is still just something off about it that I can't put my finger on.

I hope they fix the paint on Colossus' boots. The yellow part covering the knees is supposed to have three diamond shaped patches. I noticed it was missing in SD and it doesn't appear to have been fixed on there.

I doubt they will fix it... You shouldve told them at SDCC... Now you better e-mail their Reps other wise you will have a no Diamond boot Colossus!
