Just thought it was worth mentioning a new search facility at Comicartfans.com (CAF) where you can search for your fave artist and the results displayed include – most recent uploads with scans, market data for recent sales on ebay, most popular pieces, most commented on pieces etc.
Here’s the announcement regarding the new Comic Artist Database facility –
New Comic Artist Section Added to CAF
Have you ever wondered what the most popular art was on CAF for a particular artist? Well wonder no more since we've just created a new section -
http://www.comicartfans.com/ComicArtists.asp?Letter=A
at CAF that not only will show you the most recent artwork added to CAF by an artist, but will also give you the top list of Most Viewed, Most Commented, and even the single most Favorite piece by that Artist on the site. We're also giving you quick links to find art to purchase, as well as the top 5 Market Data sales we have on file for that Artist.
The list of Artists is not complete as we've initially just taken those artists with more than 75 pieces represented on CAF to be included in this new section. Art is shown in this section based on a Gallery Owner properly putting the Artist's First and Last Name into the appropriate fields when adding art to the site.
If you don't see your artwork listed for a particular artist that is most likely the reason why. We also have some editing to complete to join artist data when some Gallery Owners choose to list an Artist's name differently (i.e. Art Adams versus Arthur Adams, Mike Oeming versus Michael Oeming, Joe Linsner versus Joseph Linsner, etc - spelling can also problems). There is a lot of cleaning up of this data before it is perfect but we felt the section was work launching now.
Also, we're looking for people to provide us with Bios and Photos and any relevant website links to add to each Artist's page, so if you'd like to contribute to this section please feel free to use the Contact Form at CAF and we'll let you know what we need.
It’s definitely worth a look and if you’re looking for it on the CAF homepage, you can find it under the topmost headings “Resources”. Enjoy! Best,
Royd
