Just 4 (or 5 if you have to mask) things needed!

1) An airbrush (absolutely necessary for the paint to work right)

2) a compressor with a regulator (works best when misted on 6 - 10 inches away at around 10 psi). Too much paint will make it look just like any other silver paint on the market.

3) Black Gloss Enamel Spray Paint

4) Alclad II Chrome Paint (well shaken!)

after the paint, don't you have to seal it with something to protect the paint

Alclad doesn't need to be sealed if it won't be handed often. The finish is durable but can scratch if handled improperly.

I try to seal using future floor wax after I have done painting the alclad chrome but the chrome become a bit dull & darken. It looks like the gloss black base become a bit visible. If I don't seal it, I cannot hold the chrome since it smears on my finger. Is it ok to paint several coat of the chrome since the label on the bottle only apply 2 thin coat of the chrome? I am practicing on my silver surfer action figure for my future bowen fs silver surfer. However, I'm a bit disappointed with my result. My result seems like semi black chrome while my goal is pure silver chrome just. Any help? Thx a lot.

hey NK? which statue are you going to be working on?

from what i have seen, those that are not sealed easily get rubbed off. but it looks awesome when left unsealed.
