Anyone have a dyson vaccum cleaner?
If so how do you like it? Worth the $? My wife wants one of the animal ones as we have 2 cats and 1 dog. Thanks for any info!

Yes, it absolutely is!
When we first fired ours up, the basket filled with dog hairs within seconds. These were hairs that the regular vacuum missed that weren't apparent by just looking.
If you get one, get the yellow one vs. the purple (not sure of the model numbers). You save lots of $$ and all the purple version has is one extra attachment that you probably wouldn't use anyway.
Really, it's the best vacuum we've ever had.

Man everytime I see those commercials I'm like "WHOA" and I mean like come on how can you get excited about a vaccuum right? But really it's that good. I wish my family would get one. I'd get one myself but I don't want the flatmates touching it

I picked one up at Costco a few months back and it's definately worth it. I was impressed by how much more it picked vs. my regular vacuum.

It vacuums everything up... including those annoying bits of wax and castilene out of the carpet

They suck. Literally. Had one for 3 years or so. Worth the money. Buy it at either Costco (lifetime replacement) or with a 10% off voucher at Home Depot or Linens N Things etc to save some dough.

Aren't these things worth a little more than an SS Grey Hulk?

Does it cut down on the amount of dust stirred up by using a vacuum...?...With 2,500 toy soldiers in the house...This is a big deal to me...

You'll love it. It'll be the last brand of vacuum that you'll ever buy. I have 2 kids and a Weim that like to destroy every toy under the sun and the Dyson cleans it up like a champ.
