Hey, I personally like the tongue as it makes Venom stand out as a unique character in the Marvel Universe. Without the tongue, Venom just looks like a buffed up Spiderman. JMO! It's not that Venom without the tongue looks bad, it's just Venom with the tongue adds more personality. And Venom is savage, due to the emotions and powers it has acquired from others. The best Venom to me is the first one done by BD. The second one just doesn't do it for me.
