For fans of THE OUTER LIMITS...

FYI:

I was ambling through the media section at Target the other day while the wife was trying on clothes. They had a 4-DVD set collecting seasons 1 and 2 of the classic series - something like 32 episodes - for $14.99. I'm not sure if it's a Target exclusive or not, but that's a damn good deal, even if you just want to familiarize yourself with the series.

There were similar sets for The Addams Family and Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.

I think the original only lasted two seasons and I love those shows. I have them on VHS taped off TV but would definitely be willing to buy a DVD set at that price. Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea is great too. Addams Family, not so much. For me anyway.

"The Man Who Never Was" is a great story concept and I think there are a lot of episodes that are great that way.

Thanks for the knowledge Toxie! Im a bigfan of the series! Though every episode wasnt great, some of the best science fiction writing in the history of American television.

Didnt rod serling get his start on this show?

Anyway, Im all over this...thanks Toxie!

Another great shout-out BT. Thanx. Will swing by Target this week. Now only if that Land of the Giant Boxed set would radically drop in price.

The Twilight Zone was before Outerlimits, I believe but am not certain that TZ ran from about 1959 to 1964 and Outerlimits from 1963-65

Twilight Zone was much better but Outer Limits was still a great show. Liked the classic episode with the little alien ants.

i saw a great episode the other day when the four soldiers acquired a second alien brain, awesome writing and a story that could easily be a full length feature.

Just got back from Target...the Outer Limits 2-pak wasn't on sale but I scooped it anyway for $20, still a pretty good deal for the 1st 2 seasons. They had tons of cool little collections on sale. All the Blondie movies in a lunch-box for $9.99..scooped. 4 Hammer Films, Chis Lee Dracula films for $9.99...scooped.
