DCD Deluxe Shazam! statue

Designed by Jerry Ordway, sculpted by Ruben Procopio

Jerry Ordway designs a classic statue displaying the transformation of young Billy Batson into the World's Mightiest Mortal. The Shazam! Deluxe Statue includes a "light-up" lightning bolt, and at the touch of a button thunder will sound! This deluxe hand-painted, cold-cast porcelain statue includes a Certificate of Authenticity and measures approximately 16.5" high x 7.5" wide x 7.5" deep. Packaged in a black gift box with gold foil stamping.

$295, in stores on June 28.

The pic on the left is from www.comicscontinuum.com, the one on the right from www.dccomics.com. Are they going to go with the colored idols as in the left picture, or stick with the stoned colored idols on the right?

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

It's ok...but $295?! WTF?!

I'm normally a pretty big DCD fan, but this is a bit excessive.

Yeah, $295 does seem high for this. I've been hoping DC would put out a Shazam! statue for a while, but I don't know if I'll get this one.

Yeah, I would've liked a Captain Marvel statue, too...but I'm not completely sold on the design of this one. And the hefty price tag certainly doesn't help.

Even if DCBS offers this at the usual 35% off when they update their site, it's still hefty at $191.75.

I'm gonna have to think about this one.

Who are they trying to sell this to at that price range? Wouldn't a lower price tag (and please leave out the mechanical thundersound) result in more sales? Therefor more money? Who is going to spend 300 dollars on a statue when they can get around 3 statues for that kind of money? Crazy people at DC.

I hate the electronic gadgets (Sideshow X-men diorama, Superman Spinning Globe) in statues.

Still, it is great to see the world's mightiest mortal like that. Now imagine if that was the Wizard Shazam instead of Billy Batson....

I actually would like to see that big lightening bolt gone... along with all the electronics... Electronics in statues make me think of toys...
