Anyone use the wireless sensor for Wii?

My console is situated behind me, about 17-20 feet from my projector screen so I obviously can't stretch the sensor cord to where the sensor is in front of me.

I bought a wireless sensor from Gameshark and it doesn't work well at all. I fire it up and point to it, the cursor appears for a second, then nothing. I know there's a range of 15 ft on it, but even trying to use it right in front of the console doesn't work.

Anyone use one that could provide advice?

Thanks for the heads up. I was thinking about getting one when my cord goes.
