I'm not a Turner fan--which is sure to get me banned from this forum--but I only see the resemblance on an immediate "surface" level. Turner's Superman features a much more extreme, top-heavy build with a concave (almost corset-looking) abdominal structure, shorter legs, and the squarest cheekbones and jawline I've ever seen, even compared to the Bruce Timm version. I also don't detect Turner's distinct anime influence, which I suspect Lee shares, but is far more divorced from, IMO.
With Lee, especially in his darker Hush work, we're more accustomed to the shadow's filling in and rounding out a lot of the muscle definition, so the figures are naturally going to look bulkier in regular lighting. That roundness would have to be completely edged off and angular to match Turner.
