I keep kicking myself... keep talking with Dave about his Ascension days, but never bother asking about commissions.

Kirk did send out a newsletter a couple weeks ago saying he was taking SDCC commission requests for Philip.

Well I'm normally at lunch with co-workers when I see him. Its not so much about being shy as it is about not getting a bunch of sh!t from my co-workers for being a comic geek.

None of my friends or co-workers are into comics at all.... and they all have finally stopped rolling their eyes that most of my walls are either covered in waves (acceptable) or pictures of a grey-skinned, balding chick (not acceptable).
Just gotta roll with the punches, Ken.

Most of the people I work with know about it now. For years I kept it hidden the best I could. Now I honestly don't care but I also don't go out of my way to let people know that I collect comics, comic art and statues.

Understandable.
I guess it's also to my "advantage" that I'm not into wearing comic-related shirts, either.

I've given up hiding it. My friends, who are coworkers too, have seen my geek wall of commissions. I also have the Phoenix mighty mugg sitting on my desk.
I am going to bring in some of my other ones too to add to the geek factor.
I'm not really sure what future boyfriends might think, but I know my ex liked it and helped my collection . At least my love of shoes, purses and mascara makes me have a feminine side

Since it's part of who you are/what you enjoy, if they don't like it.. they aren't worth your time.
