People here said yes, though it's never been the way I've thought of forced perspective. I'd call it a simple juxtaposition of scales, rather than cohesive FP.
Those Spider-verse statues are clearly forced perspective, but whatever.
That IS didn't work for me. This one looks like it has several advantages already.
A big one is that even if the figures are eyeballing each other, both faces are still visible from the same angle, and not just in profile.
