Question MR replicas neuralyser problems...

Hi,

I bought the MR neuralyzer recenty from another collector but even though I got it for a nice price this piece has some problems with:
The spring mechanism. I have opened it to check but the spring seems fine but sometimes it doesn't extended in full and even if I stretch it out manually it still moves back a little cause of the weight of the top.

the second problem is that when I manually extended it in full, the upper part bend a little forward so it give it a very unstable look and feel (it wiggles!), is that normal or is mine broken?
I believe the rest works properly.

There is a small scratch on the back and I am wandering if I can polish that part to cover up the damage. When I look closer to the scratch it looks like the prop has a small shiny silver coating on top.
I appreciate your answers.
Thanks!

The neuralyser will extend to its first lock off point if you press the release once. If you press and hold the release down, then it should fully extend in one movement. There should not be any sideways movement in the neuralyser when extended.
