I have a 79 z28 in the garage waiting for a restoration project. It was first owned by the local Coca Cola plant and was driven in parades to advertise for Sprite. It has a very rare color combo.
Thanks Jade. How far along are you with your Z? Post some pics if you have.

Some specs eh, well let's see. First you're right it's not #s matching which considering it's the first project I've done is a good thing, meaning I'm basically free to do what I want to it. But don't get me wrong, I keep all original parts I upgrade in case I want to sell it later on.

1971 Dodge Challenger
Now a 340
727 auto with a manual cheetah reverse pattern shift kit.
TRW Pistons
Edelbrock Performer RPM Air-Gap Intake
MSD Digital-6 ignition
MSD Blaster HVC Coil
MSD Ignition Wires
Demon Carb
SureGrip 8 3/4 rear end with 4.56:1 gears

With the gears I have I can't really take it on the highway but it sure is fun in town. It launches like a bat out of hell and pulls hard through third but I really should change them out for something a little more highway friendly so I can go on a few of the cruises we have here.

that's a serious set of gears!

Sounds as nice under the hood as it looks Tyz

The Z sits idle as it has for years. No real progress but I hope to get started on in in the years to come. My son will be 2 next year and my plan is to work on it with him when he gets older.

A father and son Z project sounds great. Being a Chevy guy you'll like this one. Took it at a Cruise/Show&Shine downtown. I know it's an Impala but not quite sure of the year. I think 65 or 66??

I wanted to bring it home with me but I got that look from the wife

looks sweet! Looks to be tubbed out? I really like the model body right after that. I had a 70 LeMans and a 70 Chevelle big block in high school ... seriously regret having sold that car.

I will either start the Z project or buy new in the next year or two. It has been a long time since I drove a car with serious HP

No this is just my fun car. I bought the Shelby in October and as of today I only have 420 miles on it.

I drive my golfcart to work. One of the perks of working less than a 1/4 mile from home in the same master planned community.

Wow that is low mileage. Not even broken in yet.

Since there are some car guys here this is my father in laws custom paint website, done by Dreamer (member here) and there is even a ghost rider inspired helmet.
