Just got this today and I also thought that the wheel wouldn't work that well but it works fine. The online play also works great which was a surprise.

can anyone compare the controls to the DS version??? I played the gamecube version & felt the controls weren't as tight as the DS version....
Hope to try this out soon

Wheel works fine...got it and am glad it has the same "feel" to it as the N64 version.
