LOTR films all clocked in at close to 3 hours and they were all worth it.

What's crazy is that the original is less than two hours long, 1 hr 40 min I think, and the remake is over 3 hours. Kind of funny.

I also heard that Jackson himself put up the money difference in what was budgeted and what was spend to make it 3 hours. Not that he doesn't have it after LOTR, but any director will to put up that much of his own money you got to have faith in. Look how it worked for Mel Gibson.

If the movie is good, you aren't even aware if it's 2, 3 or 4 hours long.
Well almost...
For me 3 hours is just fine, and I'm defenitely gonna see it in theaters.

I prefer longer films....if it's a very good one, that's more film per unit of money, as it were.
