Yes, that's the external bat-cup. They've done away with the trunks since they were "old fashioned" and looked "silly" and added the external bat-cup because it looks "better" and more "modern." The bat-seams were added for the same reason.

In my opinion, the Bejermo Batman costume is the best of both worlds, it "modernizes" things a lot better and looks more like the "classic" costume.

Yeah the face looks a bit "off" to me as well. A lot of the Batman in action statues has visible clenched teeth which might have worked better here.

I was planning on the Finch B&W but I may pass now that I see it. Only a matter of time before a good colour FS hits.

Supes is great and represents the animation/comic art well.

yeah Bermejo's bat has great ideas, its more Batman begins meets his style than anything
i prefer his ideas but would like it better if another artist executed it, personally i prefer Lee's style for non costumed characters
