The final episode aired last week, and it was somewhat underwhelming. The challenge was interesting (interpreting a classic fairy tale in another genre), and the "surprise" was fun, but the announcement of the winner and the ending were so abrupt that I kept thinking we'd missed something. With all the work that these folks did over the course of the contest, I'd think that they could have interviewed the winner a bit more, gone into more detail about why the judges chose as they did, etc.
Overall, I give this show 8.5/10 for the unique subject matter, as well as keeping the majority of the friction between contestants in the background. It was great to see SFX artists work under pressure. Very well-done.
