In a classic case of “I’d rather be lucky than good” I won the Scarlet by Michael Dooney by having my name pulled out of a hat rather than because of my ability to pick winners on a consistent basis.
I really like the piece but I decided that if I were lucky enough to win some artwork that I would donate it to a local Christian school to be auctioned off to benefit the school and to get the artwork into the hands of someone who would appreciate it more than me.
My prize arrived today! Thanks again Paul for running such an awesome league!
I am going to get it up on the wall asap
Next season's first place piece will go right next to it!
