PVC vs Resin?

Hi I would like to know which is better and why? Also which is more expsinive/high grade? PVC or resin thanks, been a lurker for a while and sorry if this is a lame first post lol

Hi there, which is better in what respect? If you mean as a casting medium for garage kits, then PVC is probably not a viable route. PVC requires expensive metal molds and the curing is done at high temperature. You would need to take your model to someone who could carry out that type of work and be confident that you could sell enough to cover the costs.

Resin can be done by anyone in silicone molds.

As for which is better/more expensive? I don't know about cost of PVC vs resin, but I know I would much rather build a resin kit than a PVC one.

Oh thanks, I don't sculpt because it's too hard for me and im really a art guy lol i just buy statues and out of curiosity i wondered which is better
