i guess vincevell mentioned before, some factory painted statues have a thick primer underneath. so some of the detail has been lost during factory paint. because of that stripping to the bottom means more detail in some cases. however i might remember the case wrong

Thanks for the info guys. The video's were very informative.

The Bowen Batman that I won does have several chips, but Iwant to cut the head off and shorten the neck to make it look like Randy intended. According to Randy, the factory extended the neck of the master, before they produced the entire run.

I also picked up a Bowen Robin on eBay last week. I want to cut it up and make it into the new 52 Red Robin. So if anyone has the refence pictures of Red Robins back, please post them. I need to see how the feather cape is attached.
