I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

I do think the punishment should include not allowing him into competitive sport again (the reports on the net say he wants to compete in triathlons). Hes getting on a bit anyway, but who would want to line up next to him, and if he did well, there would always be doubt on the result.

He should pay the £1 million back that he got off the Sunday Times for libel. Theres also the issue of perjury to consider.

There was a young lad called Lance
Who's morals were somewhat askance
He lied and he bleated
About how he never cheated
Now he wants to make a comeback - no chance!

Won't win any awards, but the best I could do in a minute!

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Did they also think what Marion Jones and Ben Johnson did was ok too?

I can see you've read this thread thoroughly. If you're going to come in late in the game to try and stir the pot, at least try to read the posts beforehand.

Those books... Jeez. I'm thankful, at least, that I never thought to buy any of his "do this and be like me" books.

Lance Armstrong was a driven individual who probably would have succeeded as being the greatest cyclist of his generation if everyone was off drugs. The problem with professional cycling is that its corrupt from top to bottom. The cyclists who make the decision to stay clean will never make a living and will probably have been dropped by their team anyway. Hopefully this case will at last have some impact on this once great sport.
