Exactly, however, you can't dismiss the fact that Webb's movie took a huge dip it's 2nd week and was beaten by Ice Age of all movies. That's something you wouldn't expect from a proven franchise that had a lot of hype built around it.

Webb's movie didn't break $300 mil (domestic).

All of Raimi's did, so why the drop off when you have a proven comodity?

Still not good enough.

I remember reading an article a while back regarding ASM disappointing #'s.

Let's not forget that ASM was helped by inflated ticket prices, 3D prices & still could not beat any of Raimi's movies.

Why didn't the fan base come back to support this film?
