Peter David made a cryptic comment somewhere saying that it's far from ending (which gives credence to the theory it's being brought in line with Marvel NOW) but that there is a whole new direction and look for the characters coming soon

I bought some powdered water, but I don't know what to add to it.

The cover of #262 shows Jamie hanging a "Sorry, we're closed" sign.....but there's no mention of it being a "Final Issue".....sooooooo......I'm betting that the whole agency thing is coming to an end and they're just going to be more of a super-hero team in closer synch with the Marvel universe.

I wouldn't mind a change in structure, if Peter David writes it, I read it.

Sadly, it appears comics have gone the way of films with constant revamps and re-imaginings. It seems that we're hardly seeing anything new and original these days...

OK, so there's no X-FACTOR in October.....but the September solicitation didn't have a "Final Issue" like October's ASTONISHING X-MEN did.
Is the book just on hiatus???

I've read Peter David say he felt it was a good time to wrap up the series and he wants to do something else for Marvel. So if X-Factor does come back at some point later on, he won't be writing it.
